Description

−

Winstrol® Depot is the injectable version of stanozolol, a compound developed by Winthrop Laboratories in 1962. Winstrol is best known as a tablet for people, and the injectable form has mostly been used in veterinary medicine. In people, stanozolol has been used for anemia and hereditary angioedema. The name "Depot" can be misleading. Most depot steroids are oil-based with a long ester. Winstrol Depot has no ester at all and is a water-based suspension, so it acts for about a day, not weeks. In strength-training literature, the injectable form is discussed for the same reasons as the tablet: lean, hard muscle and strength without water retention.

Composition

+

Winstrol® Depot is stanozolol, a DHT-based steroid, suspended in water. It has no ester. Instead, the stanozolol is suspended as tiny particles that dissolve slowly from the muscle after injection. It has the same 17-alpha alkyl change as the tablet, but because it's injected, it skips the first pass through the liver. It doesn't convert into estrogen. It comes in a concentration of 50 mg per mL.

Outcome

+
  • Known for strength gains and hard, dry-looking muscle without water retention.
  • Doesn't convert into estrogen, so estrogen-related effects are generally not the concern.
  • Linked with endurance, speed and power in the sports literature.
  • Injected form skips the first pass through the liver, which is why some people prefer it to the tablet.
  • Anabolic activity is rated well above androgenic activity.
  • In medicine, stanozolol has been used for anemia and hereditary angioedema.
  • These are commonly discussed associations in clinical and community literature, not approved performance claims.

Side Effects

+
  • Pain and irritation at the injection site, which is more common with water-based suspensions than with oil solutions.
  • Unfavorable cholesterol changes, including lower HDL (good cholesterol) and higher LDL (bad cholesterol).
  • Natural testosterone production drops with non-medical use.
  • Liver stress, which is lower with injection than with tablets but still a recognized risk.
  • Joint dryness and tendon problems, which some users report.
  • Acne, oily skin and hair loss in people who are genetically prone to it.
  • In women, virilizing effects such as voice deepening, body hair growth and menstrual changes. These can appear even at low intake and may be permanent.
  • This is not a complete list and should not be treated as medical guidance.

Important Safety Information

+
  • Contraindications: Do not use it if you have prostate cancer, male breast cancer, liver disease or liver tumors, severe heart or kidney disease, high cholesterol with cardiovascular disease, or a known allergy to the ingredients. It should not be used during pregnancy or by anyone under 18.
  • Common Side Effects: Injection-site pain, acne, headache, mood changes, joint pain, and changes in libido.
  • Serious Risks: Liver damage, cardiovascular events caused by cholesterol changes, high blood pressure, tendon injury, reduced fertility, and prolonged suppression of natural hormone production.
  • Women: Virilization is a well-documented and sometimes irreversible risk for women.
  • Drug Testing: Stanozolol is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, and the injectable form can stay detectable for a long time after use.

FAQ

+

What is Winstrol® Depot?

It is the injectable form of stanozolol, a water-based suspension at 50 mg per mL.

Why is it called "Depot" if it has no ester?

The name is a trade name. Unlike oil-based depot steroids with long esters, Winstrol Depot is a water-based suspension with no ester, so it acts for about a day.

What is the difference between Winstrol tablets and Winstrol Depot?

The route and the form. The tablet is swallowed and passes through the liver first. The Depot is injected into a muscle, which skips that first pass. Both contain the same stanozolol.

Is injectable stanozolol hard on the liver?

It's easier on the liver than the tablet, because it skips the first pass. It's still 17-alpha-alkylated, so liver stress remains a risk, along with its effect on cholesterol.

Is Winstrol® Depot FDA approved?

Stanozolol tablets were approved by the FDA for human use in the past, but they are no longer widely marketed. The injectable form has mainly been a veterinary product, and this specific product is not an approved human medicine. In the United States, stanozolol is a Schedule III controlled substance.

Is it legal without a prescription?

No. Non-prescribed use is regulated or prohibited in most countries.
