Description

−

Androlic is a tablet that contains oxymetholone, made by The British Dispensary in Thailand. Oxymetholone was developed in the late 1950s as a medicine for anemia. It’s still used for anemias caused by poor red blood cell production, such as aplastic anemia and myelofibrosis, and it has also been used for wasting and osteoporosis. In strength-training literature, it’s known for the most dramatic gains in weight and strength of any oral steroid. Part of that gain is water, so the look is full and soft, not lean. It’s also known as a compound that needs real caution, because it’s hard on the liver and cholesterol.

Composition

+

Androlic is oxymetholone, a DHT-based steroid. A small change at the 17th carbon lets it survive digestion, which is why it works as a tablet. That change is also why it’s toxic to the liver. Oxymetholone doesn’t convert into estrogen in the usual way, but it can still cause estrogen-like effects such as water retention and gynecomastia. Each tablet contains 50 mg.

Outcome

+
  • Medically, used to treat anemias caused by poor red blood cell production.
  • Raises red blood cell production, which is the main reason doctors use it.
  • Known for fast, large gains in body weight and strength, often within the first weeks.
  • Linked with a strong appetite and a very full look in the muscles.
  • Much of the weight gained is water, so part of it fades after use stops.
  • Described as anabolic far more than androgenic, though it still has real androgenic effects.
  • In medicine, also used for wasting and osteoporosis.
  • These are commonly discussed associations in clinical and community literature, not approved performance claims.

Side Effects

+
  • Liver stress, including raised liver enzymes, which is linked to its oral, 17-alpha-alkylated structure.
  • A sharp drop in HDL (good cholesterol) and a rise in LDL (bad cholesterol), shown in studies.
  • Water retention, bloating and raised blood pressure.
  • Gynecomastia risk, even though oxymetholone doesn’t convert to estrogen in the usual way.
  • Thickening of the blood from a rise in red blood cells.
  • Strong suppression of natural testosterone production.
  • Acne, oily skin, hair loss in people who are genetically prone to it, and mood changes.
  • In women, virilizing effects such as voice deepening, body hair growth and menstrual changes. These can be permanent.
  • This is not a complete list and should not be treated as medical guidance.

Important Safety Information

+
  • Boxed Warnings: Oxymetholone has been linked to peliosis hepatis, a condition where the liver fills with blood-filled cysts that can cause liver failure or internal bleeding. It has also been linked to liver cell tumors, some of them malignant, and to changes in blood lipids that raise the risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease.
  • Contraindications: Do not use it if you have prostate cancer, male breast cancer, severe liver disease, kidney disease with protein loss (nephrosis), or a known allergy to the ingredients. It should not be used during pregnancy or by anyone under 18.
  • Common Side Effects: Acne, water retention, headache, mood changes, high blood pressure, and stomach discomfort.
  • Serious Risks: Liver damage and liver tumors, cardiovascular events caused by cholesterol changes, blood clots, high blood pressure, reduced fertility, and prolonged suppression of natural hormone production.
  • Liver Health: Liver supplements do not make its use safe. Any liver concern calls for medical testing and supervision.
  • Drug Testing: Oxymetholone is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency and can stay detectable for weeks after use.

FAQ

+

What is Androlic - British Dispensary?

It is an oxymetholone tablet from The British Dispensary, Thailand, supplied as 100 tablets of 50 mg each.

Is Androlic the same as Anadrol?

They contain the same active ingredient, oxymetholone. Anadrol is the best-known brand name, and Androlic is the British Dispensary brand.

What is oxymetholone used for in medicine?

It’s used to treat anemias caused by poor red blood cell production, such as aplastic anemia, and it has also been used for wasting and osteoporosis.

Is oxymetholone hard on the liver?

Yes. It’s a 17-alpha-alkylated oral steroid, and it carries a boxed warning for serious liver problems, including peliosis hepatis and liver tumors.

Why does oxymetholone cause so much water retention?

It can cause estrogen-like effects without converting to estrogen in the usual way, and it makes the body hold on to salt and water. Much of the quick weight gain is water.

Is Androlic FDA approved?

Oxymetholone (Anadrol-50) is approved by the FDA for certain anemias, under prescription. This specific product is not an approved medicine. In the United States, oxymetholone is a Schedule III controlled substance.
